Champion expert knowledge needed

Champion expert knowledge needed

I'm planning my first SAK mod and need confirmation that my plan will work.
l want to buy a Champion and a waiter or something with the combo tool.
Basically the plan is to build a Yeoman with a woodsaw but l want the technicians/fine screw driver on the back of the woodsaw.
I have an early nineties Champion that my sister bought for me from Victorinox in Switzerland (with my name on it) and looking at that for reference, it has the saw and fine screwdriver together but with the fish scaler next to it in the same layer. As they are on seperate springs, my plan was to lose the fish scaler?
Can l seperate them or do l need to keep the fish scaler?
Can anyone confirm that most of the Champions are like this?
Any other issues?

I just took apart a Champion and removed the scaler and kept the backside tool with no problem :tu:

I don't know anything about the rest of the mod though ::) :D

Yep, they're on two separate springs so no problem ditching the scaler.  Good luck, and make sure you post some pics. :tu:
