How collectible is the Spirit S BO?
on: May 07, 2017, 08:52:09 PM
Since last november, as some may know, I'm the proud owner of a Black Oxide Spirit S.

The research to this Swisstool model brought me here and made me feel like it's a desireable one.

So, how rare is it? Is it something that collectors try to find?
What value do these have when being sold or bought?
What would make it more desireable then others  (if this is the case) apart from the black finish?

Good start, thank you, but still, why is it so hard to track down? Were there limited amounts produced?
Didn't sell when they were available?

Here's mine...I got it from 50ft-trad!  :salute:

I only had very poor pics of it so I had to take one.  I lit it for detail...it's actual appearance is a tad darker than the pic and the rubs are not as noticeable as in the pic.

Here is a lousy pic from a couple of years ago showing the shield stamped head.

I got a used one from here for a very good price not so long ago (sorry E ;) ), but haven't seen one come up since.  Mine's got the sheath with the crest on, and has the same finish as my black Spirit X.  It's very nice, but doesn't get used much - though I'm trying to decide if I want to try to complete my collection of Spirit models.

Little revive of this thread.

The seller who sold me the S BO last year still had 3 of those in stock. Together with 3 SS Spirit XC's.
Bought one of each  (the SS version as a user)

Probably going back somewhere early 2018 to get the other 2 BO's as the price is right!
