May I suggest a new merit badge?
on: May 10, 2017, 05:06:57 PM
Yesterdays image of SAK Guys Handyman brought me an idea:
A StayGlow badge!

We don't see many StayGlow SAKs, and I guess you either love them or hate them.
But I really fancy these glow in the dark scales and think they deserve a badge.

Can I suggest a badge and conditions?
Post two photo's of your StayGlow SAK(s), one by light, one in darkness.

I've done some photoshopping and came up with these badges:

Is it posible to suggest a merit badge? I'd really like to show my StayGlow love!

If we can get some interest in this I am sure something can be done  ;) :like: :like:

I don't have them myself and it would be cool to see them more  :like: I also like the light and dark shots to showcase the glow in the dark part :tu:

No promises but I'll add it to list and bring it up at the next board meeting.

In the mean time keep adding your names to the list of interested cause numbers are everything.

I do have a stayglow Minichamp that I keep in my desk at work, so another badge would be cool :tu:

I have a MiniChamp on my desk as well.
When I read people having a SwissChamp or somthing of similar size on their desk I always have a chuckle. I carry a Handyman as EDC and have a MiniChamp on my desk! Looks like I'm not the only one  :)

That one looks great too! That's an Explorer right? And a very nice matching keyfob too!

Sounds like a good idea

The Resque Tool is a wonderfull SAK. Great to have around. Apart from an emergency entry/exit tool it's also great for preparing food on the way. And the StayGlow looks sweet!

Do you swap the scales? Don't they fall off after a while?
In my experience the snap-holes get damaged when removing the scales.

Oh s*ht what did I get myself into! Now there are 111mm non ResqueTool SAKs I have to collect and those Scouts 91mm Stayglows are pretty sweet to.
I figured If I collected all the StayGlow models on the back of the box I'd have them all. But no.
Such is the fate of a Swiss Army Knight I guess  :drink:
