the mp600 in black oxide
on: May 13, 2017, 02:41:10 AM
I've decided to give gerber a try again. I sold my surge, bought a sog and it was buggered. so I sent it back. The one thing about the surge I really liked was the t shank adapter. I don't need a oho knife (although it would be a bonus).

Is there a mp600 in black oxide with the t shank adapter available that isn't the "credentials required" smurf? Sorry if I appear to be lazy but I'm getting fed up with searching all over the place, especially as gerber seems to make 365 variations of the thing.

I think the bladeless mp600 is in black oxide. Also gerber uses a ushank not tshank.

Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, Gerber doesn't make a variant with a t shank adapter. Their jigsaw blade holder is for u-shank with hole.
I'm rather happy with my bladeless 600, but generally if I have pants on I have a knife in the pockets of said pants, so I never use multi tool blades. Of course, your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the info. I saw the blade-less version on the jungle and thought I'd probable opt for that one. It's a shame the shank isn't t shaped as it would give lots of options. I'll have to look into it a bit more.

U-shank blades are really hard to find here, but they sure make the tool much more versatile. Good luck!
