£49!

I can never understand how buyers are happy  to pay to advertise a companies product! Something askew there.

There's a story I heard about King Kenny Roberts(MotoGP world champion)...

The King had come over to the UK for the old Transatlantic Match Races, and was in the pits with the British rideas. He looked at their toolboxs, covered with stickers for oil companies, chain manufacturers etc, turned round to riders and asked how much they were being paid for the advertising...

Nice! I went to school with a punk who would always turn his plastic bags inside out so the company name couldn't be seen. I took on that habit way back then and still do it nowadays - Doesn't make any difference but it's a nice small and easy way to feel like I'm sticking it to 'the man'.  :D

I went to have a look and they've sold out, I don't think the price was too bad but I stopped drinking coffee years ago.

If you carry the nespresso alox you are also supporting Clooney, your favourite and most handsome actor ever.

Only $46 here :D (and you can get them for free if you order Nespresso coffee) and a good deal cheaper than those Spartan PS, they cost $69.

I quite liked last year's colour but missed out getting one(also didn't see the price) having caved and paid over the odds for a spartan PS this month I'm definitely not rushing to buy one of these - if I can figure out how to get one free with coffee though ....

Ouch, I like my nespresso coffee at home but that's expensive. With the amount of coffee I buy off them they should send one me one for free.

At least in Switzerland you can get it for 12CHF if you buy 300 nespresso capsules.

Funny. I've never really put people with Nespresso machines (and the matching milk frothers) and their garbage bins full of plastic pods (and the packets the pods come in...) and "Green Living" in the same thought.

To be honest, I still havn't.

(If you like Pod coffee, more power to you, but let's not kid ourselves)

(Now, don't get me wrong, I've got a 2000w generator in my truck, and I can and have used a coffee machine and milk frother in the wilderness. After all I'm not a savage, but you don't often link mains power & fresh milk, with "intrepid adventure"

Day #8 of our ascent of the Matterhorn: We're out of chocolate powder. We've set up camp until Gary gets back with resupply. I'm not taking another damned step until I get my cappucino.

(On the upside, the milk won't go off halfway up a frozen mountain)

Oi, you are a bit outdated mate... Gary brought his Handpresso machine, makes excellent espresso and is super light. The milk is from mountain goats that Heidi milked of course.

Not kidding, that is really a thing. Rather popular among outdoor enthusiasts here.

Comes with a wicked cool case :P:

It is a cool gadget. However, the outdoor crowd is all about weight. They buy titanium tent spikes at premium prices to save some weight, then they buy this?
Ultimately, I think people only bring it on short, day-trips to show off.

You're addicted!  ;)  :) How do you make coffee on the go (assuming you don't have a thermos)?

On a semi-related note, I was once told alpinists prefer tea because it keeps you going for longer than coffee and it's effect doesn't wear off as abruptly, plus tea keeps us hydrated. I have no idea if it's true or not but based on my experience it might very well be.
