Is this normal?
on: May 15, 2017, 11:16:50 PM
Believe it or not but I purchase a pre-owned Charge TI (dated 08-04) over a year ago on eBay and recently just noticed that the small bit holder doesn't have the retaining spring like the one on my TTI  ~ Is this normal on the older model or the seller just replaced it with another one from a different tool? If that's the case, it's to late to complain now. Oh well... :(

Well, I guess I'm the only one with this variation. Cool! :D

Very cool! Looks like they missed one that in the drilling step.

Yup, it is normal. I got the same thing on a 2004 Charge as well. It holds the bit a bit too tight for my liking. It may cost more to produce as well, since the edge and the hole relationship must be close.

Normal.  I have a Charge Ti dated 0404 and mine is exactly like that.  Well, maybe we are the only two

Following info has been provided by a representative of LM Customer Support:

"The original Charge tools were not manufactured with the bit spring. It was added later to the manufacturing process. I have no dating to provide for this change"
