Royal Crest Knife set.
on: May 16, 2017, 12:15:49 PM
I came across this little Royal Crest gift set for less than 20 dollars and thought I should add it to the collection. My expectations were not high, and was a bit surprised at the better than anticipated quality once I got it home. No side to side blade play. The sharp parts are sharp. Nice strong snap. Yeah, this was better than anticipated, but not up to real SAK standards. The presentation box is a nice touch.as is the inclusion of extra battery sets for the small LED torch.

Noticed myself just now,
The Aitors have 3 dots, where yours has a crown above the cross.

I had the whole set at one point.  I paid $15 for it when I was at SMKW years ago--I should have bought something of actual quality instead.  I will say this however, these are slightly better than some SAK clones, but still nowhere even remotely close to the real thing.

They are Aitors indeed. The crown/dots appear in different models depending on the year of manufacture.
Made in my country, Spain, proudly designed and built, they're quality tools

not SAK quality, but way above most Chinese crap and lookalikes

some of them are collector's pieces now, but they are all usable knives

My toys:

Still waiting on my first flea market find of an Aitor...

Found a Mikov a while ago. It's said that they aren't to shabby either, but the blade was grinded halfway, so I left it...
