Skeletool scissors?
on: May 16, 2017, 10:31:42 PM
Hello! I have been reading the forum for a while and finally decided to register.

Anyone tried to replace the blade with some leatherman scissors? Maybe the ones from the wingman? Are there any way to buy parts like that?

Unless they are re profiled the wingman scissors are pretty bad.

Unless they are re profiled the wingman scissors are pretty bad.

Can you elaborate on this. Do they just need a careful sharpen or is the angle not optimal? I've just got a set to seitch into a Wave to replace the serrated blade.

The angle of the blades push what you are trying to cut out the front.
Thinning the blades near the pivot reduces the angle and gives a better cutting performance.
You might want to consider using sak scissors instead.

OK, l think l understand what you mean.
I'll actually end up with a spare pair of SAK scissors from an upcoming mod anyway.
