To be clear, Mora is a town in Sweden that used to have several foundries that made knives; Premiere, KJ Eriksson, Frosts, and now Mora of Sweden. When someone says I carry a "mora knife" its true that the foundry used to be there, along with all of the others, but as I have said, my knife hasn't been made for many years.

Cody went for clams and snails.

Dave found some snails, but used them as bait for traps.

It took some convincing, but Dave was impressed by the shelter Cody made.

A fallen tree's roots made a natural wall, which Cody covered with a space blanket, while draping a plastic sheet between it and the fire.
Radiation from the fire went through the plastic sheet, reflecting off the mylar into the shelter, like a greenhouse.


Dave used a paddle as a spear. More like a taiaha actually.

He got a porcupine. I'll spare you the nasty pics, but he used the knife to gut it.




They eventually became friends.

Cody had his mora, Dave used an ice climbing axe.

Dave had climbing experience. He made a snow anchor, and helped Cody down.





Cody made masks out of duct tape with his mora.

He also made cord out of plant fibers, fished for an eel, and prepared it with the mora.
No hook was used. He used a sock, and the eel's teeth got hooked on it.

Dave cut his cord, and using the inner strands made a net.

They cut sticks with their tools and waded to safety.

The dive knife could be a number of things. Square tip, serrations on one side, and a small line-cutter.
Could be a Bluetongue, but many brands share that blade design.
