First of all thank you everyone participating for this challenge and big thanks to Barry who made this challenge possible.

Today used DF to dissamble my CenterMan, taking mods away to add orginal parts back in. Im gonna prepare sending these mods to Barry so he can make his Center Drive perfect .

This has been really enjoyable challenge, gonna keep carrying Dual Force in future too, but gonna change tools along month before next challenge.

Day 29

Is this the end or are we doing another day tomorrow

Either way (as it is March tomorrow) here is my Gerber ensemble.

I'll put my views (upon my very limited use/carry) here tomorrow.

Safe to say that thanks go out to Barry and awl that enabled this to take place and joined in  :2tu:  :salute:

That's a great group Surge!  Knowing that I was going to be in the Opinel Challenge I started on 1/31 to get a full 30 days.  There's a couple participants did the same thing.  I'm here for as long as it takes!

WDT '24 Day 30
Today being February 29th, and the last day of the month, I figured this was my last opportunity to annoy a cat (with multitools anyway) so I'd better take advantage of that.  Leo doesn't much care for the Gerbers but he thinks the Opi is pretty cool.

Thanks to Barry for organizing this challenge and to all who participated and made it interesting.  This month has gone by a lot faster than I thought it would.  I had not carried my Center Drive for a full month before and I can attest that it has proved itself a useful EDC.  I mostly used the OHO blade as replacement to a pocket knife and found it up to the task for a majority of my cutting needs.  Next most used was a tie between the driver and the pliers.  The last item I really appreciated having is the pry tool.  I don't think I used the serrated blade or other inside tools at all.  I missed having scissors, but the 58mm Vics I have on all of my key rings took care of that need.  If I cared enough about on board scissors I would upgrade to the CD+ (which will happen eventually, anyway, as we all well know).  The Dual Force was my backup tool all month and resided in my bag.  I may just leave it in there for a while because the pliers (my most used tool on the DF) are fantastic.

Figured I would say a piece about the CD/DF/Armbar usage through Feb. The driver is what I feel is the best in the industry for multitools. It's ability to take standard 1/4 bits and the fact that it's angled to center of axis is awesome. All the other tools out there work just fine, but the long reach and center torque makes jobs a breeze. I found the jaws of the CD to be too blunt for some of my work, that or too wide. The DF pliers are just plain awesome and grab things normal multitool pliers dream of. With the CD I felt like I could not pop the pliers out as well as a 400/600 but a thumb push worked better. The Armbars are my favorite due to the size and the ability to keep the 1/4 inch driver. I love Gerber products and the more I do these challenges the more I love their products. I'm a huge Leatherman guy so I'm always looking to have an opportunity to use my Gerbers.

Day 30

Continuing to build cabinets for my son’s room.

Thank you Barry for organizing the challenge. This month sure flew by fast. I was surprised at how much I used the CD this month. I think I used just about every tool with the exception of the pry bar and awl. I forgot about the pry bar when I was painting, so that was on me. I really liked having the full size bit driver on the tool.

Day 30

I want to apologize for being such a crappy challenge-mate.  I faithfully carried and used my Gerbers all month, but I was frequently slow to post and HORRIBLE at reading and responding.  What I learned most in this challenge is that I shouldn't do challenges during my busy months at work.  With all of the reviews and awards I need to write (in addition to my normal duties), I have to work a lot of overtime, so there's little time for anything else.  Being so busy also means that I don't get to use my tools as much as I would like during a challenge.

Overall, I enjoyed carrying my Armbar Slim, and the addition of a pocket clip to my Dual Force made carrying that tool bearable.  The 3M tape is holding up strong... you can't tell in the pic, but it is starting to collect a little pocket lint.
