Well if a trapper counted I have a very nice one my wife had custom made, but I do have a small two blade somewhere, I found it, but have no clue as to where it's hiding? :think:

"Jackknife" seems to me to be a bit of a catch-all name for traditional slippies in the US, just like "penknife" tends to be on this side of the puddle.

In the traditional patterns, I tend to prefer the one and two blade versions. The Stockman, Whittler and Congress styles are lost on me, although the Case Seahorse is quite nice. A one or two blade barlow is ideal though. I have about a dozen one or two blade slippies that get occasional carry time, generally only if I'm carrying a knifeless pliers tool with scissors.

I thought that was so beautiful and the Mrs noticed and she ended Buying me one for my bday, she spoke to the person doing the custom work on it, my initials are JR which is on the leather and the knife, and her name is sabrina, and the 143 is a old code from back on the day when we had a pager. 143=(I love you) and the wood is Orange Curly Zebra Wood..
