Hi Folks,

during my traditional challenge and lots of carry recently I boiled down my knife needs to a two bladed knife with one smaller blade and a large clippoint blade on the same side.
This pattern offers so much utility without having too many blades.

Thats where I started searching, but the market seems to be rather slim in this section.
Which quality knives in this pattern  are still made and available?

List so far:
Case two bladed Barlow (got one)
Case Medium Texas Jack (got one)
Case Peanut
Case Copperhead (Vault release 2021, just ordered 2 )

any other suggestions?

And: post your pics. I will do so when I got the two Copperheads   :hatsoff:

Regards

You know;
I've got my share of Barlows but I'm really looking for a Jack Knife that is on the large size.   I've gravitated to 4.5 inch stockman knives but finding a 4.5 inch Jack is almost impossible.
It's getting to the point of trying to find someone that will take a stockman apart and rebuild me a jack.

Not a lot currently manufactured AFAIK, but have you tried looking on the ‘bay for daddy barlows and grandaddy barlows?

They generally only have a single blade.  I'm looking for the 2 blades.
Sigh...

I agree that the single blade versions are more common in the 4” - 5” closed range than the two-blade versions.  There were some two-blade versions made in that size range, however.  Specifically, some were made under the Schatt & Morgan brand, and others as part of the Remington Bullet series.  They don’t go cheaply, but if it’s something you really want and will carry and use a lot…

The English Jacknife is a 4 1/2" Jacknife. Here is a Queen with Winterbottom bone and a Queen City with Rogers bone.

Case makes a decent sized Texas jack for about 30 dollars, a nice simple design
