Scale change

    Challenges and posting photos every day can be a bit of a chore sometimes.  Take a photo.  Write some hoo hah.  Remember what day it is.  Anyway, I am left with extra time for now.  So, I am trying to pick up a badge here and there. 
    I have changed quite a few scales through the years.  Patched up some more.  Recently I did a color change.  Here are the pix.  Before and after.  I still have some wood scales to finish for an 84mm project.  Best wishes.  Gary

   Those old solid scales don't have cuts for scale tools.  I don't really use scale tools much anyway.  I can always carry something else.  The scales came as a gift from AzteCypher.  There was an advertising print on one side and lots of scratches, but he did a bang-up job on them.  I carried a Leatherman today, and did have a Spartan in my pocket for a while also. 
    No challenges coming up in the near future for me.  I either don't have the equipment I need for it, or don't see where I could make any worthwhile contribution.  So I am picking up a few badges to have something to do.  Sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong on a few threads.

    I applied for one, anyway.  Maybe one will crawl up out of the digital nooloo zooloo land and station itself in my small rack of merit badges.  At least I did get a new 30 day 108mm challenge badge.  I wonder if I could get some hash marks for it?  Uh oh, math time again.  Take a deep breath.  30 multiflied by 12 times.... let's see how many months are in let's say 44 years....?  I got it now.  Pi times the radius of the ulna.... divided by the square root.... carry the 3.... ?  Near as I can tell, Nando, it's a whole smurf-load.  If they want to give me one little scale shifter badge, we will call it even.  Best wishes.  G
