A MUST Share!

Friday at the grocery store for some supplies, before the holiday shoppers or BBQers! (Not Monday)

As I was coming up the condiment aisle to fetch some Sweet Baby Rays, a younger feller with his bride stopped me!  “Sir, you have MT in your pocket?” “What kind is that?”
“It is a Swiss Spirit in Black! “ I replied.
He asked if I would mind showing him, so I pulled it out of my pocket, proudly showed it of, “it’s has one hand opening blades I pointed out.”

He then pulled from his belt sheath a Gerber MP600 I assumed, proudly showing it to me.   I just got this for work, and find it kind of nifty. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice his young wife roll her eyes with a geez exhaled just audible.   
I replied politely, “that is nice, what work do you do requiring a tool like that?”    “I’m a CIVIL ENGINEER for the city “

He then flicked it sharply, saying “the pliers can be deployed like th i i s s…”. Just has the tool left his hand and smashed two maybe more pickle jars on the shelf about waist high with tool disappearing even deeper into the shelving.  😯

His bride, says quickly as she continued done aisle,
“Find me when you are done!!!!”

I looked stunned I am sure, and said softly, “that can happen, hold it tighter!  ENJOY”

He was pale as an albino, frozen by fear.

I felt sorry for him, and tried not  to laugh, well not till I left the aisle, and got to the juice aisle.  Then put my Spirit back in the pocket and checked to see if pickle juice was on my shoes.

It was so many years ago, I was that young…WOW  :twak:

This couple, maybe 2 months married, both of their wedding bands were shiny.

A newness was present, and her patience at first was polite, but faded quickly when glass was shattered, into embarrassment, and distance!

I chuckled awl last night.

I never had a chance to share with him, I created distance too!

He was a newbie, for certain!

I will keep my eye out for him. Well, after eye surgery completed, for most part faces beyond 20 feet are a blur unless I take glasses off.

Not is sunlight, actually feels like a strain.

I drive without glasses as distances are clear.

Even TV is better without, about 10’

Reading and phone still require glasses. I think mostly for the stigmatizism
