Mora sheaths?
on: June 08, 2017, 02:47:14 AM
What I've never understood about the Classic, is that despite it being more expensive than models like the Basic and Companion is that it has the worst sheath of them, with a thin belt loop, which I broke early on. I'm thinking about finding an older Mora made knife with the original sheath, then sharing the sheath between the two.    I have the No. 2, with guard. At present, I've been carrying the knife pioneer style--sticking it in the sheath in my waistband, but that is really dangerous.

The sheath should be leather, have a strap with snap on the end that secures the handle.  Any suggestions?

I don't like the mora sheaths (with the exception of the Garberg). I choose kydex

The classic sheaths are not great.
The older classic sheaths with the leather button snap are better, but does not nessesarily fit a new classic, as the thickness of the handle has changed over the years.
I have made leather sheaths for my classics. Not pretty, but they work.
