Hello from SoCal
on: June 09, 2017, 08:03:17 AM
Hello all - I've always had a Swiss Army knife of some sort when I was a little guy. Went to reg pocket knives and now back into the multi tools.
I stumbled onto this forum looking for "a good Leatherman." Probably within a few days or so I picked up the Wave. As an ex auto tech and general tinker-er, I love tools. I've put the Swiss Army knives on hold for now and checking out the Leathermans.

I love LM as well but I also really like to pair them with a SAK (Swiss Army Knife) :salute:

Don't put Victorinox on hold, take a look at both Vic and Leatherman.

Welcome mate
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
Don't worry about the SAKs - I usually have a mini champ or classic near by. Those tweezers are awesome.
Honestly, I think I should have gotten a Charge instead. The serrated blade with the hook is pretty nice. Plus I also read how the scales were heated treated and looked pretty awesome.
We'll see what's next...maybe/still on the fence.
