So I stumbled upon this gem:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/20345353/smart-buckle-convert-any-watch-into-a-smarsmurfch-i

A buckle to use with the watch of your choice... seems like an excellent idea to me!

Looks interesting! Nice way of removing the need to carry a tracking bracelet.

Looks interesting. Kind of like a Gerber flicky to get the Leatherman out. Not to costly if the quality is what they say it is.
BUCK: X-Tract, 360
GERBER: Clutch, Shortcut, Dime*, DimE*, Octane & Crucial FAST
MP600 NN, CentreDrive, Grappler
Diesel*, Nickle*, Bullrush, MP600 BN, Flik & MP600DET* all in BO
LEATHERMAN: Skeletool, Style PS, CS, ES* & Style*, Juice S2(X2), SC2, C2, Pro, XE6
Crunch, MTO Style CS, Sideclip, BO Kick*
SOG: PowerAccess, Blacktip*, HD PPP
VICTORINOX: SwissTool Std, X(CS), & RS all with red logo, Spirit XBS

I don't mean to smurf on someone else's idea, but that seems like a remarkably idiotic concept.

SOG has recently done it with the Sync and that works well enough, but even so people complain about the bulk of compact, purposely designed belt buckle tools.  The idea of sticking a full sized Leatherman on the buckle of my belt seems like it would be really awkward and bulky.  And even more so if your belt has a little bit of padding over it.  Not to mention that the buckle sticking out that much would catch on things or scratch the hell out of a car while you are innocently trying to refill the washer fluid.

Count me out on that one- it seems like the most idiotic idea since the LighterBro, used only to try and pry money away from legitimate multitool users and collectors.

I use a sync 2 as a belt buckle and that is bulky enough. I love the idea of this but way to bulky to be worn as a belt buckle.  It would be great as one to wear in the small of the back or on a bag strap.

The OP was about a totally different product.

CLUE: it's in the watch forum, and the link needs you to change the smurf back to the correct meaning

.... but don't mind me, you lot carry on

 :D

And yes, incorporating a Leatherman into a fashion accessory is ridiculous  :P
