While admiring it the sunlight outside today, I noticed something on my 1942 Elsener Soldier 1908 that I hadn't before, what looks like a "P" (Private sale) stamp on the punch, on the side facing the handle. I'm nearly convinced it's just an inadvertent scratch, or even what's left of a former owner's initials. But, was the "P" ever stamped on the inside of the punch?
