What are these? Standards? Spartans?
on: June 12, 2017, 01:06:11 AM
Between the scales, the corkscrews, and the logos I can't quite figure out what I have.

First one has the old logo, no scale tools, and a solid (non grooved) corkscrew.

Second one has the new logo, no scale tools, but a grooved corkscrew.

What do I have here exactly??

As I understand it, most Spartans have keyrings and most Standards do not. Both the Economy Spartans and Standards don't have scale tools. If you have the original part number you could inquire with Vic or check Sakwiki to be more exact.  :salute:

Vic made the Eco line in various models, I usually see Spartans, Climbers, and Huntsmans (Huntsmen?). Anyways, I have the same one you do there with the hot stamp, actually one of each with and without keyring, I call the one without a Standard, but I think it's arbitrary. I also have a Standard mod. 1.3600 with the inlaid Vic shield, second pic. The bottom one is an Economy Climber with hot stamp shield. Some of the early ones actually had an "Economy" tang stamp. :salute:
