Been a while since I posted anything but ...

Found this this morning ... few cracks around the pins ... but apart from that pretty good ... needs a clean though

I would keep it and use it exactly as it is, or strip it, clean it, and rebuild with new scales.

From the choices I'd say keep as is.  What a wonderful SAK and yes I am super jealous yet super stoked for you.

I have an SAK of similar vintage, a 1942 Elsener Soldier that I found for around $20. All I did was what I usually do, remove rust (fine steel wool), clean (with dish detergent and warm water), lubricate, and sharpen.  That Climber looks to be in remarkably good shape for an at least 70 year old knife. All I see is the shrinking, warping, and cracking that seems to be normal with fiber scales and some pitting from corrosion.   Other than the normal cleaning and preventative maintenance stuff, I wouldn't touch it.

I have to confess the poll was a little joke the  ..... knife will get a light clean and be pride of place in my collection I have a 84mm 4 rivet spartan and this id going to sit right next to it :)
