From about 2007 to 2010 Dutch soldiers were equiped with a kind of Victorinox wannabee or lookalike, know as the ‘Zwanenburg’ tool or knife. (it is: Zwanenburg, not Zwanenberg.)
The ‘Van Zwanenburg’ company is known in the Netherlands for its kitchen utensilities like chef’s knives and professionale kitchen machines. My guess is that the ‘Zwanenburg’ DAK’s were made in China or so.
Quality of these knives is just crap. Slabs would fall off, knives didn’t close and rust was building up very easily.
In 2010 salvation came from Vic!
I have two brand new Zwanenburgs and at first glance they are identical. But they aren’t. There is a weight difference of 24 grams! You cab see the difference in the width of the liners.
And look at the Phillips screwdriver. Man, what a piece of junk it is.
