I got inspired by 2 things to open up this can of awesomeness.
First thing was a few of us that train together in the gym started "making" our own straps (I'm really stretching the making part here), I've been doing a few odd jobs recently and often it is the improvised or self made things that work as good as or better than the gear one can buy.
