I have a question for modders. Could the small blade on a Spartan or Tinker be replaced with a 93mm in line awl? What could be done with the backside awl?  That would be an ideal set up for me. Just curious.
Water, water, every where,
 And all the boards did shrink;
 Water, water, every where,
 Nor any drop to drink.

Yes.

Are you asking what can replace the backside awl?

Yes, if there was an in line awl, the backside awl would not be needed. Thanks for the reply.

Think the small flat driver or chisel would go in there.
Would need a spacer and a little work to the tools or possibly the spring but it should be able to happen.

I put one in mine and it is a straight drop in mod :salute: I also opted to keep the backside awl as it might be good for other uses that the inline awl might not be and also vice versus :tu:

Good to now that the in line awl is a straight swap.
An explorer with an in line awl and a technicians screwdriver instead of the back awl sounds tempting.
Any idea if anything can replace the hook on the back?
Cheers
George

Syph007 ha worked out how to replace the hook with the awl, but that doesn't help you much.  I suppose you could fit the chisel instead, but that's about it.  You could always try to find an hook from a Compact, at least that's got the file on it.
