Saw some posts, recently, about pocket caddys. The versatility, the practicability... Yadda yadda yadda, I got me one.

Like it so far. Keeps my SAK and light in place, don't even notice I'm carrying it. Only small drawback: my pockets are not very deep/big. The square corners in the bottom of the caddy stick out a little. I might round them in the future.

Sounds like a good idea.
I've just got a Fenix E12 that I was thinking of making a holder for.
A caddy would be too much bulk in one place for most of my pockets, but I see that it would stop things moving into an awkward angle in a pocket.

Try a single pouch one, with an elastic band for a pen on the side. It may be steady enough without being too bulky.

I changed the keeper on this to the side so now when it's unsnapped the blade side is short and not so inclined to get in the road.

quite often I find it easy to be able to slip a knife inside my waistband and when needed I pull out the knife and sheath, so I made this.

German Trench knife repro. Comes with metal scabbard so that's a good excuse to keep practising. Usual belt loop with this but no keeper yet.

Thanks Steve, I really like making them but am running out of knives that need one made for it. I will have to come up with new ideas. Or maybe redo some in a different way.

Hi caninesapien, yes it’s great for you to show your work here if you would like.
They’re a great start to leather work.
I’m finding it a very enjoyable pastime and I have got some very good tips from other more experienced members who’ve commented.
Are they slip pouches or is there a belt loop on the back?

At the moment they are just slip pouches, but might experiment with belt cases too. This week I want to try to make a small pouch for a SAK, lighter and earbuds, so will report back!

I made a simple little neck or pocket slip for this altoid tin knife.
Colour is Cordovan.
It was also my first go at just using an awl to do the stitching holes. Previously I used the stitching chisels. I also have a stitching pony now. It will take some practice to get the holes even front and back.

My phone needed a new cover/sleeve, since the one I had, made from a fake leather tablet "pouch" was falling apart. I took some real leather and made a new one.

The stitching is not perfect (particularly in the final part) and there's some imperfections but it works great and I like the artisanal look (not to mention being something I made myself).

nice one pfr. looks like it will do the job. It's great to be able make something yourself.  I was thinking of making something similar, but was needing to make myself a wallet first, which I haven't got around to.  I was also asked if I could make someone a tobacco pouch which I think I'll have a go at.

Thanks. When I get the time, I'll trim the outside borders so they are even and pass some sand paper on them. That will improve the look a lot. I didn't bother with that yet because the priority was getting something to protect the phone. That's done. Next step, in time, is making it more pretty.

My first neck sheath. I feel safer now with the knife compared to the upside down one it came with.

Like the wallet and the notes holder tab  :tu:
A wallet was my next project but I’m back at work and not much time for leatherwork at present. Still want to do one though.
