[CLOSED] US Schrade Tough Tool - Swap for WHY
on: June 23, 2017, 04:46:09 PM
Third time the charm for this!

I am offering up my recently acquired Schrade Tough Tool. It's an original ST1.

I like this tool a lot but will never use it while I have my MP400 and 600, and I hate tools being kept in drawers.

It's in good used condition: The clip blade is slightly bent towards the end and there is some marking to the metal file.

For those who haven't had one of these, it is US made, has laminated pliers with wire cutter. Tools consist of:
Handle 1.
Metal file/saw
Half serrated clip blade (locking)
Leather awl
In-line philips (locking)
Can opener

Handle 2.
Ruler
Serrated lambfoot blade (locking)
Scraper (could be sharpened to provide a plain edge blade)
Large flat screwdriver (locking)
small flat screwdriver.

The locking mechanism is clever - to close the tool you press down on either the leather awl or scraper depending on which handle you're accessing.

I have to mention the pouch - Best pouch ever - thick leather and bomb-proof.

Trade value - I bought it for £15 from this very site.
Let me know what you have that I may be interested in - I haven't got a Leatherman, I would like an AAA Fenix or similar but am open to most anything.
Let me know if you have any questions. Pics:

I'm after a SAK with tools that I don't already have - maybe something with an LED light,  Vic pliers, and maybe a metal saw - not too bothered about condition, as long as it's usable. Also a traditional folder with bone or antler scales, or a Fenix AAA LED torch.
Let me know if you have any questions. Pics:

Im on the road, but am interested.   Will look when i get back Monday
