They really are sweet.  Those yellow scales are even more sharp in person and the tool selection about covers it all!

I couldn't agree more except the backside phillips never convinced me very much.
I prefer an inline philips and to have a corkscrew. Nevertheless, this kind of toolset covers a lot of the needs you might have I suppose.

If I could change anything on it, it would be to add an inline Philips and corkscrew.  That would be the perfect knife for me!

Absolutely! This is why i got the S17 in the first place. Still missing the Philips, but the Vic Version at least has the Vic Can opener with the small screwdriver serving as a philips also. Not the same, but almost.

Hi guys. I've got two for this. The s557 which is the SAK that started me on this road and a recently acquired Blackout Evogrip 10

The S18 is my favorite SAK!  The locking blade bumps it ahead of the others.

Mine is still under reconstructive surgery, the evogrip part had to go

It’s a great knife and perfect size, but those scales are ludicrous for pocket carry.

Amici,
Just thought I would start this thread to see if there are any fans of the slightly maligned Evogrip series from either Wenger of Victorinox?

Here's mine, a Wenger Evo 18 with locking blade along with a AAA Brass Maratac.. Although the concept of a locking blade was ideal in theory at the time, the final execution was more than lacking.. Regardless, it still is a great user for office/sheeple EDC, and I still occasionally EDC mine. Actually, plan on picking up one the the non locking hybrids now produced by Vic plus in a very cool red.

Cheers,
Serge

I recently purchased a Red Evogrip 18. I actually love how it feels. I am not much of a woodsman but I do go camping every few years so I have added it to my camping supplies . I dont need the saw for mye EDC but it will be handy around the camp site
