KF4
on: June 28, 2017, 11:06:05 AM
Well I wanted to love it. But I am just not taken with it. It may be that the pliers are loose and that bugs me (how fickle I am ha ha) but I have went straight back to the S2.
I have only had the S2 about a fortnight longer than the KF4 but I love the S2. Last weekend it was an absolute diamond. Day would have been ruined without it multiple times.

I carry a Vic Compact and thought the tool set on the KF4 would compliment it perfectly.

I am going to send it to Whitby and Co for warranty hopefully they can fix the pliers and that might make me carry it more.

Anyone else not care for the KF4 to much?

I am with Zed on that they will swap it out instead of fix it I am afraid :-\ The rivets on it make it so that they don't really fix them  I also don't know what the replacement is  There are fixes for the looseness but require a hammer and a nail set :o :D

I myself love the Kf4 and wished I found myself carrying it more but I tend to forget it as I have to much to pick from  Also the trade Zed proposes sounds pretty good to me if you are in the market for a different type of MY

Hope you can get it sorted :tu:

If you hold one side of the scales when the tools are closed they will open. Not alot but enough to annoy me ha ha.

Na mate thank you but I am going to hold onto it. I have a bit of a juice collection at the min. I decided I wanted to try them again and there was a Juice explosion. I have 1 XE6 3 CS4's (another on the way), the KF4, and a S2 (with another on the way)

Just need to get hold of a C2 and a Pro now ha ha

I messaged Leatherman and they said they would try to fix it and if they could not they could contact me to find out if I wanted the KF4 back or a replacement.
I believe the replacement is a CS4. as per my previous post I don't need another one of those ha ha. If it can't be fixed I would hold onto it.
