I'm very unhappy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only reason I use MOFObucket is 3rd party hosting, mostly for this forum
The smurfs want 400 a year or all the pictures I've posted over the past 6 or 7 years will be blank

Available Plus Account Plans : Photobucket offers the following Plus Account Plans:
o Plus 50 Plan: 52 GB of Storage for $59.99 / Year. The Plus 50 Plan does not allow any image linking or 3rd party image hosting.
o Plus 100 Plan: 102 GB of Storage for $99.99 / Year. The Plus 100 Plan allows for unlimited image linking but does not allow 3rd party image hosting.
o Plus 500 Plan: 500 GB of Storage and unlimited bandwidth for $399.99 / Year. The Plus 500 Plan allows for unlimited image linking and unlimited 3rd party image hosting.
Additional Features of all Plus Accounts : When you upgrade to any Plus Account, you will also receive

On a side note... Coincidentally (or not), both mine and Tony's pics depict really big blades (albeit mine is sheathed)...

I'm having the same problem
ALL of my 600+ Photobucket pictures in this and 2 other forums are now blank, impossible to see.
Years worth of posting. I am so angry at them, as if I hadn't had enough with their constant failures and problematic servers, tiresome ads and stubborn pop-ups etc.
I switched to imgur a week ago and so far so good.

I've not uploaded new pics to Fartobucket for a long time. I've just left old pics up for the sake of the forum. If the links go down, I'll be taking all my pics off their site, and Fartobucket can go smurf themselves.

As usual...

Start off offering some awesome package for free, gather a bunch of members and when you've got enough, make it a payed subscription.

We've seen it numerous times in my line of work with dyndns servers that are offered free, and when you've got over 100 clients on it, they make it payed.
Causing us to visit every single one to switch their server over and hoping they'll agree on our own payed (cheap) server this time...

Anything provided free has a somewhat questionable future. That being said many paid options also seem to struggle.

In theory we shouldn't allow any outside hosted images as it seems like there's always problems at some point, especially where the images are important to a thread (less so in case of jokes and memes). This is why it's also important for reviews to be submitted and added to the main site as we will have local copies of the images rather than linking somewhere else we can't depend on.

Our old gallery works ok, but the software has been stagnant as the devs seem to have stopped working on it (not surprising since there seems to be heaps of other better gallery options online) and the new option I've been looking at seems ok ish, but I don't think it's quite what we would need.

Also we're already bursting at the seams with what our current hosting plan will allow us to run... and I would love for us to have integration for everything so that we could offer everything under one roof.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

It wouldn't even be a problem for me if they asked for $50 or even $100 a year... But no, they try to force their MOST expensive plan at $400!
I don't need 500GB storage, I currently have 10GB and I'm using 6%!

I'm seriously thinking they're driving free account members away on purpose...

I was going to create a post as all those dead links are really annoying.

I have been using Photobucket for years.  I hate it, but I've been paying $2.99/mth for my package ever since the Russians crashed it when they were posting all of my SHOT photos on their various forums.

That's why we decided to do it ourselves.  If we can figure out a gallery option that works for folks here I will go for it.

Yeah, except hosting thousands more images is going to cost you both arms and legs and probably a firstborn child, right?

We are not alone, I saw some Mandalorian related posts on FB complaining that all theirs are broken on various forums too...

I can understand that they perhaps grew too big to be able to offer free services but I'm guessing they are about to lose the vast majority of their users.
