Doug. By next month, we'll be ahead of the herd with nonstop swisstool carry by weeks. They'll have to give us challenge  badges early.

So poncho, will carrying now everyday qualify as time in August? :gimme:
Well I must admitt I've carried mine almost every day from '98 till now and don't see any change coming soon.  So I could be years up on most.
Now with that in mind here are a couple of suggestions for not hurting your hands so bad.  I've pulled hundreds of thousands of screws with my Swisstool
and found if you open it up so the pliers point into your hand opposite the blade you are using it gives a much more ergonomic center drive.
Check out these photos, and happy Tooling.

Well, you saw my first pic of the gate catch. I usually always use MTs half open like that. BUT!!!! Those 16 screws were rusted inside the wood and driven 1.5" into old hard mahogany. I needed full grip. I think my rebar would have broken or bent. I used a hellacious amount of force to start the screws out.
I didn't have a regular flat head driver around. So no worried, I learned that party trick after I got my first LM. Can't do it with my old Gerber though. :)

Understand the old rusty, try a baked in old rusty in side the back wall of an convection oven.  I've even 1/2 opened mine and used it like a T handle.

I got close to doing that, but I remember some of you saying the older Swisstool had slightly smaller pliers than the new ones, so I two handed it while it was folded. The thing did not twist much at all and was back to normal when done.
Yeah, those rusty cruddy machine scews are awful! Luckily I do keep PBlaster in a small vial in my work apron pocket. Works better than wd40. But, it does stink to high heck. :ahhh
No good on wood though.

The awl on the swisstool is my favorite. I was a little disappointed that the spirit did not have that style awl. The swisstool has the same awl some of my SAKs have. Great for anyone who works on old furniture. :climber:

I'ld never make it with out mine.   Probably faster on the draw in my sleep with the Swisstool than an Old West Gun Slinger at High Noon.
At least that's what my 16 year old son says.

Ponch,
I have a spair I can loan you, but you'll have to get the scissors fixed.  :(
