Reminded of my youth...
on: July 18, 2017, 08:14:54 AM
I'm so out of practice but I recently got an Alox Pioneer X that has been screaming for a lanyard for quick pocket removal.  Thinking back to my Scouting days I used to make leather lanyards to hang coffee mugs and water bottles from my belt loops while hiking.  So I thaught how much differant can paracord be.  Actualy it wasn't he paracord that was the problem, it was my memory.  Two hours of failures and I finaly remembered how to get the thing started.  Man am I rusty!  The cord I have on hand is a bit thick and my technique needed some work but I do have a working lanyard now.  When I get back home and my wallet recovers from this vacation I'll get some smaller cord and realy work on my technique and maybe come up with some thing truely post worthy, but for now at least I had fun with some old memories.

Very nice, I made one myself with a little adjustment because every pair of pants has diff pockets so with the adjustment it makes it look like it was made just for that pair. I thought paracord was soo cool, I'm not great but I find it kinda as a stress relief, lol. But there is a subject on here on paracord, here's the page..

No prob, the one thing I love about this forum is if you have a question ask around, your not looked down on, someone will know, if not they get curious and will come up with one! When it comes to paracord the one to ask is Stormdrane,, some of the work he does is like

So in the spirit of your statement about questions I am curious can you explain the SAKMC badge to me. The description in awards is a little vague.  If need be a PM is fine.

The MC stands for Monrogue is Cheating.

He pretends he is faithful to one knife, even though he keeps swapping the innards in it. Then when he's got bored of that he swaps to the other knife that he pretends he is faithful to, and periodically swaps the innards in that too. Rinse and repeat. Apparently this has become a trend with a few members, and they started doing similar things and coming up with cutesy names for each other. To be honest I try to avoid that thread as it's a bit scary, so I don't really know exactly how the badge thing works, but it might be that's all they wear when they're posting in that thread ... or something ...

I try to stick to threads that make at least a little bit of sense  :D
