If you have attempted to buy SAKs on ebay,  you have probably been sniped by Smartknives.  We ALL get sniped by Smartknives.    ???

I have heard nothing about them either way, but they appear to have a decent range at decent prices - I've been past their website more than a few times.

I think I remember reading they get a lot of their gear from collections from air-travelers?

I don't know all the details, but I am pretty sure that a lot of the info on that site was taken from SOSAK without a thanks or linking back to it.

I'm sure Def will chime in with more info soon.

That's my understanding as well.  It is a usefull site and well written, but is badly out of date.  I haven't been to it in a while but IIRC it doesn't say anything about the New Rangers.  I almost always go ot the http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php site.

Ben pretty much hit the nail on the head... there's more, but it's in bad taste for me to talk about it in an open forum without Dennis here to tell his side.
