I wanted to mention that the coyote brown and the od jungle feel very different. Both great! But the coyote brown feels more matte finish and has a tiny bit of grit to it. And the OD jungle feels more glossy smooth and still has great grip, even better than stainless imo.

I don't know a whole lot about the processes. (Although I did do powder coating for a summer.) They feel like a different process. Like ones cerakoted and ones powder-coated.

Anyways anyone interested just wanted to mention this. The pictures are hard to show this and don't portray the different finish well. But here's a pic.  :multi:

Also, the green looks different in different lighting. Sometimes it's real muted and sometimes very green. Depending on light and contrasting colors of course. (No photoshop this time  :D )

The coyote does feel grippy to me. Has a much better feel than my BO Rebar. Don't have the OD jungle to compare with it.

Said I probably wasn't getting this but it somehow made the trip home from Cabelas today.

Thanks Steve!!

Captain they are nice but having a BO Rebar I probably shouldn't have got this. Hopefully the coyote color doesn't easily wear off the handles.

In a previous post I mentioned that I thought the sheath was junk. It's actually pretty nice but has no room for the bit cards or adapter the way my BO Rebar molle sheath did. But honestly I never used the molle sheath anyway. I now carry my Rebar in my pocket with one of those pocket clip hangers or pocket dangler by the lanyard ring. Works best for me and my edc.

Those molle sheaths are fine, as long as you glue down or sew the Velcro.

But those aren't the ones that come with the rebar...  :pok:

That's the main reason why I don't like and never purchase BO multi-tools. I will buy a used stainless Rebar and switch the handles

I can find appreciation in both. I like a well used tool. And yet stainless is great because it always looks good. I like em all I guess

It's been my work edc. Mostly, but rotates of course  ;)

That was boxes I was tearing down in my garage to go to the recycle bin. Nothin crazy. But the blade came somewhat un-uniform to begin with.

Honestly that kind of wear from boxes does not surprise me. Boxes are basically sandpaper for your blade. I used to cut hundreds of boxes every single day at work.

I think some of us forget that underneath that colored coating is a shiny piece of steel.
