New EDC Multitool & Key Organizer
on: July 13, 2017, 08:11:35 PM
Dear Multitool Forum mumbers,

We have spent the past year working on a new and exciting ultra-light multitool. Unsatisfied with our everyday carry and in particular our key organization we developed REMOVED! Machined from grade 5 titanium and weighing in at only 1 gram - it's packed with features and we think we have created something special and hope you agree.

After extensive testing and prototypes we are looking for funding through kickstarter in order to realise our first production run.

I thought I would share our campaign here [LINK REMOVED]

REMOVED

We are currently offering a FREE Titanium Split ring to anyone who shares our project on social media to help us spread the word.

Thanks for reading.

Martin

1 gram of titanium 6Al-4V is very little material indeed. In volume it should be like a third of a common 1/4" screwdriver bit.

Ok, I'm curious to see what can be done with that :)

I went and found it, another keyring/bottle opener design that is too expensive.

Not surprised about the expensive. If that is actually to be made with machining there will be some precision shifting workholding going on. Every surface seem to need machining.

Seems the 1 gram didn't actually include the split ring. The weight of the complete functioning product would have been more relevant I'd say? And I'm not sure if it is fair to count a feature like bottle opening twice?  :D

Either way, trinkets in titanium seems to do well on Kickstarter no matter what. They'll get financed I'm sure.

Titanium draws money at Kickstarter like a sign saying "free weed" on a college campus.

Of course, the second might be crabgrass and poison ivy clippings.
