I'm still wondering what that billhook sized mutlitool is. Considering the Swiss were famous for their pikemen and billhook men (almost made that one very awkward) it just might be a SAK style billhook, which in itself is a multitool
Never said it is Swiss... my theory is that it was designed by an Austrian (we Swiss have a special relationship with our dear neighbor) and produced in Texas. Although it most likely was produced somewhere in Asia.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

I'm still gonna stick with a folding billhook

OK, this is my first attempt at using imgur since Fartobucket's 2017 extortion racket. Hopefully the pics will come through OK, as I wanted to add everything in one post without being limited to the usual four at the end. As I said before, I got the package and I think this prize really is truly magnificent, and will certainly be accompanying me to the UK Meet in a week or so. it is a tool that will be used, but won't be pocket carried as EDC  ;)

It wasn't the only thing in the package either. Accompanying it was an always appreciated brand new Victorinox Classic.

Wonderful as this is, it is certainly not the behemoth in question, and the tool that has got you all wondering.

For size perspective, I'll be using today's carry which is my Sheepsfoot Duke knife, which many of you have seen before.

So come on, Al - quit stalling - what the hell is it? Honestly, I have no idea what this tool is called, but it doesn't take too much figuring out what it is for.

Here it is ...

Show content

As Beat said before, this does have a significant knife blade on it, which much to my liking is non-locking

So what was Beat on about with the fact some American must have confused the metric sizing as inches? Well let's see how it compares with the 91mm Swiss knife

Even the corkscrew is large enough to get a fat kid out of a sweet shop

Beat also correctly said that two tools were even longer than the knife. There's the broad flat blade for flipping burgers, swatting wasps or annoying children, or holding in front of your face while you talk in a Darth Vader voice, and the large fork  for handling steaks, sausages, and for keeping drunk friends away from your beer.

All the long folding tool poke out of the same end, so you can't have both tools deployed from opposite ends and cook Darth Maul style, but there is still a neat trick up it's sleeve. With the scoopy swatty Vader mask deployed, the tool splits down the middle ala the more common hobo knives, so you can use the double pronged beer protector at the same time.

All in all, a fantastic prize which will be used with much mirth and merriment, and which is an excellent companion tool to the Bar10der tool which I reviewed several months ago.

Fantastic GAW Beat. Thank you very much for this, I really love it.

Happy Anniversary 11th MTO  :drink:

Bonus points for anyone who spotted that this tool has not one, but TWO bottle openers  :D

Nothing against all the other fantastic prizes that have been offered up and won throughout this anniversary month, but I truly think I won the cream of the crop with this one.

It's smurfing brilliant!

Yeah, I thought it would go well with your bar10der. Also, it of course has 2 cap-lifters on the two halves, so you can use them both, at the same time!

What is it called? Where. Can. I. Get?
Its name is not nearly as epic as its size
Grillbesteck faltbar
foldable barbecue cutlery

Its available in Migros (if you are close to the border you can come and fetch one).

A return ticket via Ryanair is €70 from here... Almost cheap enough to make it worth going there just to buy one of those tools.  :D

I think you might have misinterpretted his flag. Even if he was close to the border, he'd still have a long way to swim  :D

Getting one through airport security might be a tad ambitious  :D

I think the knife version makes more sense for food packaging, linked sausages, burger buns, you name it. I can understand them wanting to make a machete free version, but that's quite simply not as much fun  >:D
