Installing a Cateye Rack Bracket on a Rhode Gear Water Bottle Cage to hold the Cateye Reflex 560 LED Reflector
~ Guess what Leatherman tool that is. ~
Repairing a Joby GripTight Bike Mount Pro that came loose... Joby won't admit there's a fault and none of the other reviewers found the flaw. It found me in like 10 minutes of riding...
A daytime view of that fix using a zip tie. So it is a good thing to carry extra zip ties in the pack.
Flag mount on the TerraTrike Rover, held nearly vertical, and reinforced with ... zip ties!
Even have a larger zip tie on the cargo rack to keep the flag pole from leaning too far in any direction ... although it had smacked me in the head a few times.
Later had acquired the wrong angled Rover post from a fella named Mark Powers (PowerOn Cycling) who never got back to me so I could purchase a post for MTB components, so... post on hand, might as well use it for something. Right? So it became an accessory mount to hold a front light and the aforementioned Cateye Reflex 560.
This post comes in handy as a secondary grip, and makes the trike more beefier. But still wanted more... so added the Rhode Gear Water Bottle Cage to the back angle of the Power's post & used .... (drum roll) .... zip ties! Yup, these things are almost an addiction. Next best thing to duct tape!
I cannot say how many zip ties I used... but was a bunch and this bugger isn't moving anywhere!
And then tonight, fighting sleep ... used Leatherman ReCharge TTi & Crunch to fasten on a (temporary ?) mount using some bizarre plastic sprinkler elbow to mount a
Planet Bike Protege 9.0 computer on
TerraTrike's Versa Bar. Strange... why don't manufacturers make universal mounts, to put their cycle computers on
both handlebars
and stems?
