The knife that Anthony Hopkins character carried in the film was made by Brian Lyttle.
Blade length 3 3/4th inches with mammoth ivory scales.

"Stearns & Harrington
The Jewellers & Engravers
Since 1859"
Interesting factoid: The engraving company is fictional. The writer of The Edge, David Mamet, used the company name again in the movie Edmond.

First sighting, in-box.

Eating apple.

Cutting seatbelt.

During motivational speech.

Having cut pants open.

Making trap.

Taking apart watch chain.

And thread off of shirt for line.

Drawing blood.

Spear.

Motivational speech 2.

Compass.

Film also " proves" why old rich guys are old and rich😇😇😇

Amici,
They have tried to reboot this classic flick more than once by tweaking the scripts a bit.

The first was, "The Grey" in 2011 starring  Liam Neeson. The second will be released in just a few days called, "The Mountain Between Us" which although based on a book of the same title, will once again borrow heavily from the original premise. That is surviving in the field with just a few tools and their brains against a harsh environment.

Cheers,
Serge
