CRKT SPEW vs. Minimalist

Just snagged a CRKT SPEW fixed blade neck knife today at Walmart for less than 20 bucks. I had never heard of this model, but for the price wanted to give it a go as I haven't had a small EDC type fixed blade....

Though now looking at it, seems awfully similar to the Minimalist. Does anyone know anything about the SPEW? Is it possibly one of those made for a retailer sort of deals? Handles are claimed to be G10 and steel is the same as listed for the Minimalist though at a lower price.

Thoughts?

All I can tell you is I'm still sorry I bought the RSK Mk5 instead of the SPEW, I was worried about the tip being too fine, instead ended up with something rather useless if you ask me....  :facepalm:

I have never handled one, but it looks to be a nice blade.
