newbie (sorta)
on: October 21, 2008, 03:15:20 AM
hey all, a newbie here, just wanted to introduce myself and share a story. i have two LM a micra and an orig. Wave. one night i came home with my wave, next morning i couldn't find it. three days past with pouring rain. then one night when i got home from work i crwled out of my truck and tripped over something. it was my wave! i couldn't belive it, it sat in it's comfy leather case in the rain ffor three days in a gravel drive way and run over multiple times (probably by me because i park in the same spot) brought it inside and of course played with it. i was just as gidddy as when i first bought it to replace my PST. i read on here alot about rust concerns....no rust and i don't think i have ever cleaned or lube the wave. well that's my story and i love the site.

Welcome to the forums,it sounds like you come from Minnesota in the winter time, and after you get your new wave or charge, you will find out that you have been bitten by the multi-bug!!!

PS: Enjoyed your story, and I've had LM's for a quarter century now,and still don't have rust on any of them.
:salute:

Welcome minnesnowtah!

Yes you are right that the saws that J-Sews made attach to the pocket clip "socket" on the New Wave, Charge or Surge tool.

If you are happy overall with your original Wave, you'll probably be even happier with the new Wave, which would be the cheapest of the three tools mentioned. Personally, I think the new Wave improves just about every feature compared to the old one. You can find the differences between the latest tools by having a quick look around these forums, but I'm sure people will help out if you can't find what you need.

I used to come here a lot.

Welcome to the site.  Great group of guys here.  Better hide your wallet though since they have a way of making you think you need to buy all sorts of stuff you didn't even know you wanted/needed.
