I just hitched up my trailer to my car to test the lights and noticed the tow ball is dry.So my question is, do you grease your balls? Tow hitch to you guys over the pondI've always greased mine as that's what I was told I should do waaaaaay back when I first started driving.

I assume, when you are not towing you use a truck nuts cover Kevin?
Oh no, I think I do it wrong and grease if there is friction.
Use a tenis ball to keep it protected.

Simple answer yes, grease it up before using it.

I normally use copper greaseWhat used to be called Castrol LM, but is now called Castrol multi purpose grease. The towball can get very hot when towing and this stuff just stays put Linky
The advice out there seems to be...If using a friction type stabiliser then no grease. All other, keep the balls well greased
