Modding new SOGs.
on: July 31, 2017, 01:24:33 PM
I heard that the new SOGs(Sync, poweraccess, etc) are not so mod friendly for the end user.
Is it still possible to, say, unscrew a Poweraccess or Sync and move/get rid of/replace the individual tools?

Thanks.  :)
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Yikes! Dunno! Possibly

The issue won't be taking stuff out, but finding other stuff to go in it's place

My Power Access managed to strip the head of a couple of China-made driver bits in an unsuccessful attempt to unscrew the side with the implements.  I'm not sure if it's just the "soft" / "cheap" China-bits or the torx is really really tight or I'm not doing something right.

I'm honestly more afraid of stripping the screw though.  The screw-head it too rounded for ordinary pliers to clamp on to.

I'll have a look tonight, but I think my PowerAccess has imperial/inch hex head screws, not Torx.

We had this discussion in another thread. It would seem that the PowerAccess can have both torx and imperial hex fasteners. Certainly it is an oddity
