I have one of the older models.
It works with the Spirit nicely, and many other MTs from other brands.
It's sturdy and quite useful. i find them for 20-25 euros every week on a popular second hand website in my country, where they also sell Swisstools for 50-60 Euros and Swisschamps for 35-40, etc.

You can find very nice deals there.
Had you posted this 3 days earlier...

They seldomly pop up on our second hand site.
Last week one popped up but the details said "pickup only".
It was in the village where I went camping so that was quite easy. Didn't know if it would fit my Spirit at home though :bnghd:
Which is where I am again now

Guess what I found at a very local (and small) outdoor shop, only about an 8 km drive away from my door ...  :pok:

Yep, a brand new "old style" tool adapter, sitting in a display cabinet for about 19 years, waiting for me to come along and pick it up  :D.  I guess the 0598 on the side is a date code, right ?

Best part, I asked how much it costed and the guy from the store started looking through an old stock catalogue he had, found a page with the Tool Adapter, a bit extender and the bit kit on it, and said 26,95 Euro.  About ten minutes later when I was paying for it (and for the Lundhags hiking trousers that I bought, BEST HIKING PANTS EVER, in my humble opinion) he noticed that he had made a mistake, and that the Tool Adapter costed like 42,95 Euro, but since it had been lying there for so long, I could have it for 26,95 Euro  :D.

Looky looky what i brought home today TG :pok:

Good news! I can like you again! :ahhh

What do you mean ... again ?
After stating that it was to late for me to go for the tool adapter, you posted "look what I got today" after wich I said "I don't know if I like you or hate you know"
I know all that, I just didn't know you already liked me at one point ...

Better make sure the girlfriend doesn't hear about that..  :dwts:.

Cool.

I got my new style tool adapter earlier this year from Amazon.de.  Not cheap, mind, but really well made.  Suits my Surge well.

Thank you!
Went €3 under your price. Feels like a decent deal.

Been looking for a new style adapter but couldn't find one.
Do you remember how much it costed?
Just so I can get a new-price.

It was a lot more than I told my wife ....

I think it was €45 but the mandatory tracked shipping to the UK added much more.  The retailer also sent me a Leatherman hat & lanyard which was very nice of him.
