Thanks. Here are some more:

Unfortunately, there's not much call for a Swisstool on the planes themselves. After all, it weighs way more than double a complete airframe.

Day 6
Boss said "move into the new truck TODAY!"
Now I got to start all over figuring out what I did with 2.5 years tools parts and stuff (junk).
But it's ST approved.  ST said "just means I'll get even more attention"

Powernoodle Day 7

Back during the Rebar Challenge, I did a little repair on a window sill using Loctite adhesive.

The Loctite produces a hard, rubbery bond, and is still holding strong.  Loctite is Powernoodle Approved.

Chisel works great as a paint scrapper.
Then the ST got a nice clean, lube and buff.
The Vics sure do clean up nicely.

Day 7 Remembering one of my pet peeves of the Swisstool  I keep very short fingernails and I have trouble sometimes getting some of the tools out of the Swisstool :bnghd: I never have this problem with my LM due to either OHO or easier to get at nail nicks and tool clumping ::) :D So there is a strike for the Swisstool :D

If there is any one thing I would have differant on the Swisstool it's find a way to have right handed OHO for at least the main blades,  but then would you loose the square and 9" ruler?   Always a trade off somewhere.

I rarely if ever use the ruler because I always have a ruler on me ar work ;) So I would rather be able to use the tools than not be able to access them :D I have oiled the pivots and used it a good deal over the years but it never has loosened up and I will be glad to get back to other MTs where I can access the tools better :ahhh :D

I wonder if the tension is back spring related more than pivot?
If anyone had a tool that already needed to be sent back could bend an individual spring out slightly and check the tightness against normal. But, you're absolutely correct about the issue. My finger nails have never been so short from chipping and cracking opening certain tools on the Vic ST. Luckily I have one stronger thumbnail from bowling that keeps it easy to open the tools.

Lets hope someone has a tool that needs to be sent back and can test the spring system with a shim to loosen the springs a bit.

OR!
If someone has a thin shim and could spread open the pivot a hair like they do at knife factories?

I just don't know for certain. If they used screws instead of rivet pins, we would know for sure. :P

Ponch,
If at the end of the month you just can't handle it any more, you can always drop it off on my front porch.
I promise I won't turn you in to the MTO authorities...  :pok: :pok:
