Just "installed" this one on my bike...is a full size Ganzo G302, with a bit-driver set and replaceable wire cutters...

Bike-specific multitool or a pliers-based one?  I don't carry the former (I keep individual hex/torx keys and a chain tool in my tool kit), but I do carry either a Leatherman Rebar or Victorinox Spirit in my toolkit too.  They're the most complete set of tools in a compact package that I need for working on my bikes.

This is my toolset I carry in my bike trunk bag, Leatherman Skeletool w/ Bit Kit and Extender and Topeak Ratchet Rocket. Together they
can handle any nut and bolt on the bike.

Apart from those I of course carry separate tire levers, a spare innertube and a mini pump.

Ride safe, ride smart, have fun!

A while back I bought one of the specialty bike tools at a bike store.  I did use it a few times over the years.  This thread is making me go look for it now.

I remmebered the name now, it is called the Topeak or something along those lines.  I bought it in the 90's before I knew what a Leatherman is.

I've got the victorinox/PB Swiss bike tool and a crank bros tool. Both handy for different things. For bike tasks, the crank bros and a pair of decent tire levers are better than the Vic tool, which is basically a bit kit with some levers slapped on. The levers are nigh useless too. Work in a pinch but 50 strong levers work so much better.

I have had the topeak 18  I think it is for a long time. And that really does everything you need. Except for any gripping, so of course to be prepared I need a set of pliers, and a knife, just in case. I had just about given up on the Leatherman freestyle as being not needed compared to my other tools. I even tried to sell it without any interest lol. But this pairs fantastically with my real bike tool and is very small pairing with EVERY thing you could need out of the trails.

I'm thinking that the LM Crunch should be a really good tool. The locking pliers should be able to tackle nuts better than regular pliers and it has got the holder for the bits to handle any and all screws.

I have a whole bucket full of bike tools, the best of them is probably the Topeak Ratchet Rocket Lite DX (just realized that I have more I should post). However, I hardly use or carry them. I try to maintain my bike in a state where no repairs have to be made on the fly.

Just looked the tool up and it looks extremely handy. Escpecially the implement with the extension or using the bits out the back end. Does the back end ratchet too? Not that it has to. Kinda pricey, but looks to cover the bases and give good torque doing so. Everything on my tool is short and you have to turn-remove-turn-remove-turn-remove etc  ;) buts it's compact and clever.

Now I feel like I need that,  :gimme:

No, no ratchet on the back end.

I still have my bike, but can't ride it at the moment. I've got a Topeak Ratchet set mounted to the frame, and usually had a knifeless pliers tool with a couple of extra tyre levers in the underseat pack.

Topeak Hexus II, because it has everything I need and nothing I don't.

I had one of those at some point too. I wonder where that went ...
