oh, a bit of everything...

I like leather (SOG's especially) for weekends/off work Multitool carrying, as well as all my old or vintage hunting/camping knives. It's just beautiful and love the feel of it.
For work and winter EDC I use Nylon for most of my MT belt sheath as it's usually more resistant to water and humidity (something I see lots of at work and during winter), usually can be carried horizontal or vertical (which is convenient when i also have to carry a flashlight, pruners, gloves, etc.) and also usually has additional pockets or layers where I can add pocket prybars, lights, SAKs, pens and lighters, something most leather sheaths do not allow.
For fixed blade knives I hate nylon sheaths or cordura, it's functional but usually low quality, gets worn out fast and the blade can usually pierce the layers (or a rock, branch etc. if you're hiking or camping)
My favorite material for fixed blade knives and tools is Kydex or a similar hard plastic, preferably with multiple attachment holes and different carry positions, and very importantly good retention and that it doesn't dull the knife when sheathing/unsheathing.
Hard plastic is tough, rigid, doesn't wiggle or move around and allows for a slim, discreet profile and comfortable carry IWB, on a belt, etc.
My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

SAKs: Bantam, Executive, Ambassador, Minichamp, Classic Alox, Champion, Farmer, Explorer, Swisschamp, Golf Tool, Wenger Champ, EVO 52, Pocket Tool Chest

So you now have a problem with anyone on the forum who is older than you? To be honest I got tired of you following my posts yesterday with the same infantile joke. It wasn't funny the first time and it's not funny today.

Nylon tends to fray and fall apart if used heavily. Leather, if properly maintained, will last a lifetime. I've got a 40 year old Buck 110 sheath that's still in use.  The only nylon sheath I even use is the one that comes with the Gerber Tool Kit, as it's rather heavy nylon (I've noticed American Gerber and older LM sheaths are made better), and can hold a ton of stuff.

LEATHER!!!

It is natural, and will outlast the tool if cared for.

Here are some of my Gohard sheaths.
