Thanks for the birthday wishes guys .

My apologies for the late reply, I was in Austria for a week, and returned home during last night (10 hours trip, of which 9 hours in pooring rain ...  :ahhh).  But we didn't see a drop of rain during the seven days that we were in Austria, so I guess I can't complain  ;).

Oh, and pics of my trip will follow in the next couple of days, I'll post them here.

One week left...

I'm considering doing the draw Poncho's way.
I'll have small pieces of paper with your names on it in a hat and select one blindfolded.
This way I'll avoid assigning a number to each of you.

The draw will be on Monday the 28th of August at 17:00 Dutch local time.

There are 24 contestants so far so chances of winning this are better than in most GAWs. Sleep tight!

Well who would have thought I would barely get any sleep after all.

Just hit my pillow when I received a phone call.
I'm on stand-by duty and have to provide tech support 24/7 for an entire week.
Can't solve it by phone? Get over there...

Worst scenario? Sirens that won't shut off.

Which scenario did I get?
You guessed it, the worst.

So at 11h20pm I received the call and tried all sorts of stuff by explaining things on the phone.
Nothing worked.
Got dressed again, left the door at 11h45pm.

45min later, around 00h30 I arrive on location, grab the ladder from my van's roof and climb up in near pitch darkness.
Dismantled the damn thing and climbed down.
Filled in the paperwork, strapped my ladder back on the roof and left again at 01h05 to get back home around 01h50.

Washed up a little again, changed outfits again and went to bed somewhat after 02h00, only to lay awake (always a problem after a late night intervention).

Had to get up at 6 since the office does not take these interventions into account and you're just expected to be there.

But hey, my client keeps offering coffee and I keep drinking! Nr5 now I think :ahhh

Hospitality is better overall once you pass the border. Currently at work in The Netherlands :D

Strange to see what was considered a healthy breakfast in 1975. :ahhh

Eggs and porridge are just as nice and high in protein, and better for you, IMHO.

Smurf, now I want to make some porridge for lunch.
