Swiss Army Bread Bag
on: August 03, 2017, 09:25:00 PM
Guess my Swiss militaria collection has expanded to a bit further than SAKs...

I've long wanted the Swiss Army pack, I liked the looks of it and it seems quite well made with canvas and leather. But I couldn't stomach the hundred plus bucks, so I just bought the bread bag, which cost a bit over $30 shipped. The date on this one is 1970, so guess I have enough excuse to seek out a '70 Soldier.

Like my Soldiers, this is going to see use. It'll mostly be carrying my college gear, but will also be carrying whatever stuff I need for a particular trip (clothes, etc.) and  farm work (usually tools and my lunch, plus first aid stuff)).  Basically, it's going to replace my backpacks for everything but camping.

Seller's photos.

:like: looks good. I have the Finnish Army gas mask bag. It's all canvas but useful as a lightweight sling.

I just got mine last week.  I took an hour today and waterproofed it with Snoseal.  It really seems like a nice, well built bag.

Cody, keep your eyes peeled for a deal on the ruck.  I got one of those recently as well.  I haven't had it out much but it seems like a solid pack.  With the bread bag it makes for a great set. :tu:

Like the old style look of canvas and leather.
