But are those little pliers actually useful?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Correct !!! You can see it in the upper side of the picture with some 2-layers + combo tool sisters. (Image removed from quote.)Cheers
A man after my own heart. I still need a Scientist to complete my two-layer/combo tool set.
Yup, the Mechanic is discontinued, I think. That said, the Deluxe Tinker is a great knife which feels very comfortable in my hand.

If you love SAK scissors, and why wouldn't you the addition of the pliers is just icing on the SAK cake.

I'd go for a Deluxe Tinker in 84mm. Is that even possible with the pliers? I have several Cybertools but none really pushed all the right buttons. I think I'll have a look again.
SAK pliers are fine but I prefer to keep small pliers separate so I can hold a a nut with them while using the drivers on my SAK. All three of these and especially the CrossGrip are more capable than SAK pliers:(Image removed from quote.)
The IDL tools are surprisingly robust. Their limit seems to be how much pain you can endure while cranking down on them
