I was going to be a wise guy and post a pic of one with only pliers layer, but I never did one. The thinnest one I did was a 2 layer.(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)
<pedant>The Vic Champion doesn't have pliers. I assume you mean SwissChamp?</pedant>
I am not a huge fan of SAK pliers, but I do see their uses. And their rarity. If you can find them and they work for you, buy it. If you cant... A nice alternative if a pair of 4" hemostats. And they lock. Sometimes too aggressively, to be sure, but they are cheap enough to mod, to.

The pliers on the Squirts are really nice for their size. Plus you get a nice array of other tools. Great pairing for a simple 2 layer SAK.
No one mentioned the Angler? It's 1mm thinner than the Deluxe Tinker. (Image removed from quote.)

The Squirt does come in PS4 flavor which add scissors but there has been reported issues with those scissors.

I like the fish scaler more for the "ruler." It's helpful when I'm in the woods taking pictures of various plants and animals. I use the ruler to provide scale (size) in the image (on small insects of course) for overall identification purposes.

I was refering to Sak with just scissors and pliers. I have a 111mm locksmith (blade + saw + file) that I love and It would be the perfect complement. Sent from my SM-N910C using Tapatalk
Btw eBay has a special mechanic listed for $100 .
