Here is the little spiel about the badge.  Maybe friend Aztec might want to try for it too, along with whoever else already has the MC badge.  Best wishes.  G
 :D

I need to see how many 58, 65, and 74mm I have.  I think it's definitely doable.  :D

You know, Aztec.  I have thunked about this challenge and badge business for a while now.  It seems to me that a person should regard participation in this challenge as just a straight-up MiniChamp Challenge.  Mini every day.  There is no requirement to post any other model or size in reaching for the 74 and under badge.
Here is what I am going to do.  I will carry and post a MiniChamp photo and annoying text every day.  Then I might just sneak in a secondary SAK in some photos.  Not something to carry, just something to dress up the photo a little.  Since one 58mm type (MiniChamp) should be sufficient for either the MC badge or the 74 and under badge theoretically you could just carry the MC and apply for the 74 and under badge.
So it's MC every day and a few other smaller SAKs sprinkled in for variety and color.  Do you have another take on things?  The challenge says to 'Start a new thread'.  Lots of the older challenges used that phrase and it has been largely ignored.  A later interpretation is to 'Participate in a challenge'.  That is how one of the moderators explained it to me.
Our friend Reamer Punch got the Country of Origin badge when we did the Rotate Challenge.  Might have been for the Anniversary Challenge?  He was in hospital for the original Country of Origin challenge, and posted everything from one country during the Rotate Challenge.  Successfully I might add.  I think applying for the 74 and under badge should work with a MiniChamp carry regimen.  It is not up to me to decide however.  Best wishes.  Gary

I like that idea and I feel the spirit of these challenges is to actively participate and enjoy the interaction, thereby enriching this community.  I'm going to follow your lead since I already have the MC badge.

Maybe some other members who did the MC challenge before would like to join in to get the   [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I had one MiniChamp photo left over from the challenge that wound up Saturday.  Might as well submit it.  It felt strange to not post a daily photo Sunday, but by today the usual lethargy has set it.  Now everything is back to my habitually dysfunctional normal.  Best wishes.  G

Mine's been clacking away on this keyboard all day.

Nice photos, gents! :like: I'll submit one as well. A scale swap is still a possibility, but the present ones are more than awl right.

Mini perched on an MRE.  You can see the MRE is sitting on my newly discovered tablecloth that I had forgotten about.  I admit it's ugly, but it serves the purpose.  The tablecloth, not the MiniChamp.  I already opened the pack and fished out the Pop Tarts for breakfast.  Might have the pasta for lunch.
Might be about time to get in some Christmas grocery shopping.  I think I will go tomorrow and look at some ham.  Could settle for something less.  Maybe something like a canned Danish ham/semi-Spam processed thing.  Make some sandwiches.  Ho, ho, ho, etc.  Only bad thing about that is there is no nice ham bone to cook with beans.  Best wishes.  G

Check with the butcher Gary.  I used to pick up soup bones for my Mom that way.  Most of the time they'd just give them to me.

They've improved those MRE's a lot since I was in!

  I haven't really decided anything yet, Barry.  That is a good suggestion.  Finally stopped raining this morning.  It is really soppy outside.  One of these days I will learn to remove the dust and pop tart particles BEFORE I take a photo.  I hate the looks of a red SAK with dust on it.  Best wishes.  G

Great MiniChamp photos, y'awl! :like:

I was thinking I might have lasagna for Christmas dinner. Unless I wind up working, in which case I'll just have my usual "I'm too tired and lazy to actually cook" dinner.

Hard to cook for one person.  I think lots of folks wind up with a frozen dinner or a sandwich.  Or maybe eating out.  I always enjoyed cooking.  Best wishes.  G

Hey Barry, I went this morning and picked up some free soup bones.  Put them in the freezer.  I think it will be black-eyed peas for New Years with these things.  Best wishes.  G
