Thanks Phil.  It carries nicely on my keychain in its sheath.  I do miss the toothpick and pen.

These photos were taken on 7 October, when I got a bunch of household gods delivered. I prefer to dispatch these pesky tag holders with scissors. The MiniChamp got the call.

One quick cut, and the dish towels were ready for use. :tu:

Thanks, Barry, and great photo yourself! :hatsoff:

Now for a little bonus. I used the MiniChamp's pen to sketch 9-speed shift patterns on a piece of junk mail. Some folks might say "ol' Farmer X has no life." And that would not be an entirely baseless claim. I did, however, drive a tractor with the shift pattern seen at right on at least one occasion.

I have formed my verdict on the retractable SAK pen. It's not too bad for a quick jot, such as signing a form at the doctor's office. But for sustained use, a dedicated pen is probably a better option. This particular MiniChamp will swap its scales for the more conventional T and T type someday.

I'll second that finding Dan.  I used to open the bottle opener to give me a little more control of the pen in my hand.  It's definitely an attention getter though!

Those of you who are participating in or following this month's Spartan challenge saw a post in which I used the Spartan's cap lifter to help open a tin of putty. Today I used the MiniChamp's screwdriver for that purpose. It's a little more likely to gouge the tin, but a lot less likely to slip.

It's been a while since this thread had any new posts, so perhaps it's a good thing I decided to grab the MiniChamp after a Kroger run. First I used its pen to check off items as I put them away. Yes, there was a sale on Jarritos and Sidral Mundet; the smurfs got me.

I think this may well have to be a topic unto itself.

I also used the combo tool to pop the cap off one of those bottles.

It's not my favorite cap lifter, as one really has to crank on it and pry a time or two extra, but it got the job done.

I may just have to start one!
